More Poetry

Continuation.

The thick stifling air swirls around the room
           Our shoulders steadily hunch forward
As the audience grows a look of gloom

More friends and peers have moved onward
As we show them out our door
        Another stage they have conquered

They speak of dragons they have slayed
     Diving head first, unafraid
Basking in the moment I'm sure

For they tell us a quick tale
Their last before they'll sail
Carving their name with their decade blade

Ahead lies more dragons to slay
    More stories at bay
          They will prevail.

Hallway Game.

Where to go?
To the left or the right
       it is the same
          One is inadequately bright
              The other neighboring night
To take the long way around
               is the game.

  1. I like both, but the one about continuation was my favorite. I like the line: They speak of dragons they have slayed Diving head first, unafraid
