Clockwork Angel is the first book in The Infernal Devices series, and is amazing! Cassandra Clare is the author of this series, and a few others including The Mortal Instruments and The Bane Chronicles. Clockwork Angel is about a sixteen year old girl who goes to London in 1878 to visit her brother after her aunt dies. When she arrives at the docks, two strange looking women claim to know her brother Nate and are there to escort her to him. She thinks she is visiting Nate, but she does not know that her life will change forever. Throughout the book and the series she learns about her family, her new life, and who she really is. That might have sounded a little cliche, but it is an amazing book. There is a lot of magic and fantasy, and I would recommend this book to anyone who likes that kind of genre. I must warn you, this has a lot of graphic violence because they fight demons and stuff like that.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!
I also recommend that you read this book/series BEFORE The Mortal Instruments series because it will make a lot more sense and help when you read the next books.
