Lucky is living in a disfunctional family. His grandfather was a soldier in the Vietnam war and died in battle. Lucky's father has been distraught ever since, and his mom denies that they are anything but a normal family. Lucky is also being bullied at school, and he just needs to find an escape from the daily drama.
In his dreams, he escapes to a jungle where he is the hero. There is danger and adventure, and here he feels happier with his life. The real question is, how long can he hide in his dreams?
I thought this was a really good book and everyone should read it. It talks about bullying and dealing with family issues, but it also has a wild adventure side to it.
